I believe it’s important to give back to our community and support causes that make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in St. Louis. Two outstanding organizations that are especially close to my heart are SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.
SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital
SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital is a beacon of hope for many children and families in St. Louis. As a non-profit, teaching hospital, it provides exceptional care for children of all ages, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
By participating in the Glennon Card and hosting private fundraising sessions, I have been able to contribute in a small way to help fund critical medical treatments, innovative research, and essential healthcare services that ensure every child receives the best possible care.

Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition
The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition is dedicated to finding safe, loving homes for children in foster care and supporting adoptive families.The Coalition provides resources and support services that strengthen these families and ensure children have the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment. I have been lucky to photograph many of these incredibly resilient children for their adoption profiles in hopes that it gets them one step closer to finding their forever families.

Shana is an amazing photographer and we are so lucky to partner with her to get professional pictures for the youth we work with that are looking for a forever family. Studies show that professional pictures increase the chance of a child being adopted and without Shana we would struggle to get the pictures our kids deserve. The kids also love her and she has a special talent for getting even the shyest kids to open up and show their beautiful smiles and personalities in pictures

I have worked with Shana over the last five years bringing countless foster children to get their professional photos taken for adoption recruitment purposes. Not only does Shana gift her services for children in foster care and donate her talent and her time, but she is the kindest person we could possibly have working with our youth. She is accommodating, welcoming, curious, and playful with all of our kids. I often bring teens who are not so excited to have their photo taken, and Shana always manages to get them to open up and have a great time. There have been a few times when I was worried about the child I was bringing and if they would even smile for the camera, but Shana always makes them feel so comfortable and the photos always turn out so beautiful! She has the magic touch!
